Interior problem
1997 BMW 328 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 128000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I hope you can help me with this problem. I have a 97 e36 328i convertable. I have noticed lately that my door is acting strange. It seems that my door windows lowers slightly when the window is totaly up and interior lights come on as i am driving. It is intermitant. When i open the door normaly this happens, as it should , but not while i am driving. It seems to be a door handle lock switch problem. Sometimes if i re-open the door and close it again it returns to normal. This problem also happens when i drive over uneven roads. Also after exiting the car the interior lights stay on. It seem like it is a switch on the door handle that is loose or faulty. Please help.
I am also pretty handy with tools. Is this something i can repair myself

This should be easy for you to fix, just replace the door latch assembly part number 51-21-8-205-041
