Electrical problem

Tody i went to move my car and stoped to pick up my mail (i shut the car off), After i got my mail,i walked right back to car, and it just wouldn't start. when i first started the car to move it, it started up
just fine. Now the dash lights up fine, but when i turn the key all the way to start it, i get nothing, no noise at alll, Also, while i'm driving the car, when it is working,all of the lights on the dash light up and i hear that ding,ding noise.(PLEASE HELP,CAUSE I AM SO FRUSTERATED. THANK YOU

Hi Emily, has this been a recurring issue or did it just start? Also what is the history of the battery? I might guess the battery is weak and might require replacement. There might be other issues, but let's start with this okay?

hello,yes it has been a recurring problem, also i just replaced the battery about 6 months ago, I took the car to a mechanic and he's telling me it's the starter, and i thought i got that fixed right before i got the battery, but apparently i have been taken for a ride, it's cause i'm a female, or these people just are in this to rip people off
