Has a leak down test been performed? Where is the compression going? Is it leaking past the valves or the rings? What has been done to the car in the past? What is the Vehicle Identification Number please.

i have done overhaul to engine due to car overheating because of bmw`s plastic radiator neck which cracked.so head is new, valves new, head gasket new, All gaskets in engine are new.car was running fine for about 6 months then it just shut down while driving on the motorway, when i got i home, i removed timing chain cover to find guide for timing chain was completely broken (more bmw plastic) so i wondered if timing had jumped some how.i used timing tools to check timing but still i have this no start problem Sad would the V.I.N help you seeing this is a euro spec car?

If the cam chain and/or the timing is off then you might need to pull the head back off to get it right again.
