Hi mikeosb,

Are you able to pull any codes this time?

Did you check the power supply to coil ?

More like a cam or cranksensor problem.

Hi mikeosb,

At 50 mph when it broke, the chances of hitting the valves are quite high. Did you hear any abnormal noise when it stopped?

Turn the crankshaft so that the pistons are all not at the top. Remove valve cover and check if any of the valves are lower than the others while fully closed.

Another way to test is to remove rocker arm tension and allow valves to close fully and apply compressed air through the plug holes and test/listen for pressure leak from intake and exhaust manifold.
