Engine Performance problem
2000 Chrysler Cirrus 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 125000 miles

the car starts with no problem but if you do not keep your foot on the gas pedel it will stall. it starts right back up and you can drive it with two feet until it warms up. then it runs perfect

Inspect and test the idle air control valve and throttle position sensor-also check the EGR and PCV valves

Are there any trouble codes? Some of the national brand auto stores will check codes for free. When was the last tune-up? How is the fuel pressure?

There was a bulletin about a possible egr problem, may cause any or all of these problems, hard start after hot soak--rough idle--start & stall with cold engine. You would need to trouble shoot the egr valve, mainly by blocking it off.

As far as temp related, the cts might cause some issues.

The computer takes the CTS signal for fuel demand during cold starts it takes the place of a choke on a carb system- when it switches to closed loop the oxygen sensor/s controls the A/F mix when it comes up to 600F deg
