2000 Audi A6 Four Wheel Drive 61000 miles

I was recently in an accident. I had my seat belt on and the airbag was deployed. But I was able to unhook my seatbelt as if nothing had happened. The police officer how investigated the accident gave me a ticket for not wearing my seatbelt even though I had worn it. He claimed that it wouldn't retract if it had been on due to the accident.

Audi said that isn't always true. No I have to prove it in court. If there any documented info that would help?
