Brakes problem

I recently installed an Air Lift ride control system that keeeps my truck at normal ride height when towing my work trailer. The manual stated that installing the system could affect braking. I understand how the load proportioning valve works but my question is how severe will it affect the braking and is there anything I can do to compensate for the valve seeing normal ride height when in fact it is loaded down? Thanks
