1999 Toyota Corolla 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 175000 miles
My daughter's 1999 Toyota Corrolla mileage 175000 has an intermittent starting problem. Sometimes (becoming more frequent) when you turn the key to start it, it is completely dead. It will be dead for 2 or 3 tries, then on the fourth it will start without a problem. The car has a brand new battery, we live in Buffalo, NY and it is getting cold could that be a factor in the increase in occurances? What do you think it could be. I just want to have some ideas before I take it to the shop, I always feel they take advantage of me since I have no knowledge of car repair. Besides this problem we have never had any problems with the car (original owner) always change the oil tec. I appreciate any advice. Thank Yo!
