Electrical problem

My dashboard lights are becoming very dim and I have the adjustment turned to maximum. Do I need to replace a fuse - bulbs??? Any idea of how much work this involves?

Also, my clock fades/dim intermittently. The service dept had no idea what caused that. However, after having a radiator cap (for another problem) replaced, it hasn't happened. Maybe coincidence???

Any help would be appreciated.
