Transmission problem

Hi,

I have 100,000 miles on my Subaru. The speedometer broke at 58,000, now there is a crack in the middle muffler that hold the catalytic coverter $500, both brakes again $600,, and now my transmission has problems. Should I fix all of these things or get rid of it? What other problems should I be aware of if I am going to put $3-4,000 into it? It isn't even worth that much right now with the speedometer problem.
