Engine Mechanical problem

I Have a 1999 Subaru Outback All Wheel Drive.

I recentaly had my muffler system, radiator, waterpump, head gaskets, manifold gaskets, spark plugs, spark wires, struts, rotors, calipars, and brake pads throughout the car at my dealership in Grande Prairie It was a great expeience and my car runs great.

My problem is that I have started to do my own work and would like to know how to remove the cv axles from the transmission?

I am guessing that tapping it with a hammer would be the same thing to do to remove them?
