Engine Performance problem
1999 Mitsubishi Galant 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 161000 miles

I'm not quite sure what is wrong, but I have an idea. My car recently started acting up when i start it and about for a minute or two after that. When i start it the engine it idles rough like it may not be getting enough gas and the check engine light comes on. It dosent die though. I put it into gear and can drive but it jerks and won't accelerate well for about the first minute or two of driving. After that all of a sudden it starts to take off and goes back to normal and dosent do it again unless I shut it off and let it cool completely back down before restarting. Any sugestions?
