Electrical problem
1999 Hyundai Sonata 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 180000 miles

periodically the engine totaly shuts down i could be running down the highway or sitting still idillling it will not crank back immed. most of the time usually about 30 minutes to an hour after if has shut off it will start again until the next occurence also at the same time the batterie and brake light will blink at the same time the rpm's moves back and forth one to 400 is it possible that this is an alternator problem
and is the voltage regulator built intot he starter? timing belt was changes at 125,000 most of the censors , plugs and wires was changed at 180,000 is this electronic or fuel problem? your help would be greatly appreciated.
