1999 Ford Mustang Screcching Noise

Noises problem
1999 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Manual 130,00 miles

My son owns a 99 Ford Mustang. There is an awful screeching noise coming form the bottom when idle, engaging the clutch, driving, etc. I thought at first it might just need a serpentine belt, but the noise is definitely underneath the car. Could it be a clutch problem, catalytic converter?

screeches when clutch is pressed down? clutch released?

matter what gear? does it do it constantly no matter what/ varry with engine speed? rpm?

Get louder when clutch is depressed, louder with increased rpm's, deosn't matter what gear
