Transmission problem
1999 Ford Contour 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 210000 miles

Hello,
I have a 1999 ford countor with alot of miles on it. It has a automatic transmission as well. Pulling out it won't shift out of first gear until you back off the gas pedal. If you let it shift on its own it will violently shift and give a OD off light blinking steadly. Also do you have to completly drop the fuel tank to replace the fuel pump its starting to go bad and I have a brandnew motocraft pump to replace it with.
