Computer problem
1999 Dodge Stratus 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 112000 miles
Hello. I have never had any problems with my vehical. The check engine light has never been on.
Yesterday I went to crank it, and it cranked, moved two feet, then died. It has not cranked again since. Everything is working, all lights, dash, windows, ect...
The spark plugs are not firing. My husband tried it with a screwdriver.
On the dash, it read 'no bus' on the odometer one time, but it has not returned. Car still does not crank. It only turns over and does not fire.
I do not believe it is the ECM because the message didnt stay, and everything else is working properly. Could it be the crankshaft sensor? My husband is on disability and we have two small children. We cannot afford to take it to a shop and this is our only vehical. Thank you very much for any help. |
