Noises problem
1999 Dodge Dakota 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic

I have developed a whining noise when the truck first starts up and when I am going slowly. When I am doing about 50+ kms, the noise is not noticeable. Any thoughts what this could be? My catalytic converter is bad, but dont think this would cause my problem. I also changed the alternator.... it was bad. Could it be my battery?

Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
