Electrical problem

Dear Sirs,

The lock cylinder will not return to lock positon when I turn the car off preventing me from taking key out of ignition. The odd thing is it will do this when I have the top down on the car. When I put the top up on the car after a while I can get the key
out of the igniton. I dont have a clue as to what would cause this.
