Noises problem

I hear a rubbing or grinding sound coming from the right front wheel. I noticed it about a week ago, what could this be?

Do you only hear it when you use the brakes or any time? Have you had the brakes checked? Also, have someone check the backing plate behind the brakes / rotors. It may be slightly bent or rusted which allows it to hit the spinning rotor.
