Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Chevy Tahoe V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 130000 miles

I have a 1999 chevy tahoe. It started skipping during acceleration about a month ago. I took it to a mechninc and they put it on a machine and said that it needed a fuel filter and fuel pump. So I had to to put that on and it ran fine for about a day, then it was back doing the same thing. Then one day it was raining and it really started skipping worse so I took it to the shop and they put new spark plugs and wires on it. That lasted for about a week and it would skip evey now and then mainly in the morning when i frist started driving and then it would stop. But today it we had another heavy rain and it's skipping real bad again. what can i do?

is there a check engine light on. with a scan tool see what the fuel trims read. sounds like your intake gasket may be sucking vacuum.
