1999 Chevy Cavalier Cost of Battery?

1999 Chevy Cavalier Automatic 218000 miles

I'm looking at buying a cavalier---owner says it needs a battery. How much would this cost? Also was wondering if $600 is a good deal for a this car?

The battery is around 80 bucks. I think that is a good price for that car, but I can fix just about anything. I suggest taking the car to a ASE mechanic to have him or her inspect the car first. For 600$ there is bound to be some problems.

$600.00 isn't generally going to buy much of a car. As far as needing a battery, the battery may be dead but that may be due to other problems in the charging system. Having a competent ASE technician check it out is a good idea.
