Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Buick Lesabre 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 123000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
Hi:
I have what is my 4th GM car with the 3800/(3.8L) motor. My other cars with same engine were Buicks and oldsmobiles. They all had 1 thing in common. They jumped timing between 125000-138000 miles. Is this customary to GM timing chains? I am going on a trip soon and will drive this Buick. Do you recommend timing chain replacement at certain intervals or just drive it til it jumps timing. Thanks
