Engine Mechanical problem

hello,

i just bought an older bmw and it revs while driving at normal speeds. it also will do it in neutral or while in park with the engine running.

the air conditioner also has hot air - i added the coolant from kragen and it's now just warm. would this have anything to do with the engine problem.

Is the check engine light on? How long has this been happening? The A/C issue may require a certified air conditioning technician with the proper tools to repair the problem.
