1999 BMW 328 Engine noice/whistle

Engine problem
1999 BMW 328 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 145000 miles

I did an oil change today in bmw 328i(1999) with the filter replaced , after that there is a whistle like noice come from the engine when you remove or loosen th e oil cap sound disapperes , idle speed is fine.@800rpm. can you please let me know what could be the problem ?

The cyclone separator is the noise maker, they fail all the time. Go to amazon.com for a Bentley repair manual
