Engine Mechanical problem
1999 Acura TL 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 170000 miles

I was driving from work and I approached a buddies house and as I slowed my car down I had not even gotten to the curb to park and the car died. I have lights and Battery seems to be working. Also all fuses are ok. I have fluid and About half a tank of gas.

I try to start the car and it almost sounds like it is trying to start/turnover. It almost sounds normal to me. So I looked arounf the car and I just dont know whats wrong. I sprayed some starter fluid and the car will turn over and again die. I wonder if for some reason im not getting fuel. No lines are leaking. Or maybe its the fuel pump. If anyone knows or has suggestions on the problem. Any info would be much appreciated.

Based on your description, most probably it is a fuel problem.

Either the fuel pump or its related wiring circuit is not working. Check fuel pressure first.

Check main relay for current to fuel pump and test fuel pump if current is available.l
