1999 Acura CL 4 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 119000 miles

I need to change the fuel filter on my 1999 Acura 2.3 CL but can't seem to find it. I've looked everywhere, the bottom of the car is covered by metal sheets, do i need to remove the protected metal sheets to find the fuel filter?

its behind the engine,by the firewall.
start from the fuel rail and follow the line going back until you see a round canister-that's the fuel filter

I found it thanks for the reply but it was so hard to change.
