remove the throttle body and intake manifold and clean both.if dirt is caked on the intake manifold's egr port you might have to use a drill to remove it and enlarge the hole to 10mm to prevent future clogging.

you could bring it to the dealer, see if the 80,000mile warranty extension covers you.service bulletin 99-045
