Transmission problem 1998 Volkswagen Golf 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Manual 140000 miles ---------------------------------------------------------------- Reverse does not work at all anymore. Any ideas?

replace the transmission. if its a manual try getting a used one from the salvage yard. that will be the cheapest way out.
