1998 Pontiac Sunfire Automatic 70000 miles

My Pontiac Sunfire has a leak in it. its a red color we think it might be transmission fluid or something along those lines. We are not very good about the knowledge of cars. How much would it cost to repair this .And what am i leaking its a red color. thank you very much for everything hope to hear from you soon.

where is it leaking from? middle of engine compartment or driver side front. it could be your transmission gasket or a lose bolt around the pan. to get a new gasket on your better to do a tranny fluid change cause you have to take off the pan that all the fluid is in. there could also be the possibalty that your cooler lines could be leaking but it depends on where it is leaking from.
