Engine Performance problem
1998 Pontiac Sunfire 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 140000 miles

I am trying to do a engine swap from a 1998 Pontiac Sunfire. I am replacing the engine in the sunfire with a 2002 caviler engine both are 2.2. The 98 sufire has a EGR valve and the 2002 caviler does not how can I fix the without changing the head or can this be bypassed?
