Air Conditioning problem

Hi I have a 1998 Plymouth Grand Voyager, the air conditioning works sometimes, but not always, I had it re gassed thinking it was low, but no so. At times you can see a mist coming from the vents and there has been water leaking from inside the van. I have tried to locate the drain pipe for this system, unsuccessfully I have a strong feeling that the drain is blocked which would cause the steam and water to flow back inside, do you think this could be the problem or is more serious like a compressor? Where does the drain for the air condition drop, I have looked under the van and cannot find it. And if it is the compressor what would be a ballpark figure it could cost to replace thanks heaps
