Electrical problem
1998 Jeep Cherokee 6 cyl Four Wheel Drive Automatic 130K miles

I'm trying to troubleshoot my Cherokee and I'm looking for some suggestions. I drove home and after turning off the engine it wouldn't restart (not even turn over). I attempted to jumpstart the engine, but still no go. I replaced the battery and the engine still won't turn. I checked the fuses and all of them are good. The truck has an led on the dash that isn't standard. I'm not sure if it's for a security system or not. My thinking is that if there is a security system it'd cause the starter to not work. My question is there a way to tell if there is a security system installed? If that's not the problem, what should I look at next?
