Engine Performance problem

Jeep grand cherokee just stopped running, all the guages and stereo will turn on but the car will not start. the coil has been replaced and the electical box under the hood was replaced but it still will not start. it will turn on but not start it just turns on like it is going to start and then nothing. it will not turn over to start the car. could it be the fuel pump or something else

you state the car wont turn over, as in crank and in one part you say it sounds like it is going to start,

what is it doing?
