Engine Mechanical problem

I have been having an intermittant problem with starting...it cranks, and can smell gas...But at times just will not start, when i release the ignition it will shake a bit like the old leaded cars did when shut off. I have changes he fuel pump and fuel filter... I have used a code scanner and no codes are set off...I am at a loss, humidity seems to affect it, tomorrow it may start right up.
