Brakes problem
1998 Ford Windstar 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 90000 miles

All brakes front and back have been replaced. I continue to hear a grinding noise ocassionally upon stops. Sounds like ABS kicking in. Although, the light for ABS never comes on.
Took a brake mechanic for a ride and let him determine and he believed ABS was the problem.
Free checkup at Midas showed brakes were fine but there diags do not detect a problem.
Has anyone seen this? Do I bite the bullet and take it to the dealer.
