Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Ford Mustang 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 98000 miles

Parked car in driveway, tried to start the next morning...car cranks but wont start. Husband says that he doesn't hear fuel pump kicking in and it doesnt have spark. The check engine light has been coming on frequently in the past but hasn't been on the last few days. Now when you try to start the engine, the check engine light doesn't appear at all.
Any suggestions before I take it to the shop and spend a fortune?

I would check fuses and computer relay as a 1st step



and then crank sensor
