Steering problem
1998 Ford Contour 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 115000 miles
----------------------------------------------------------------
I have a 1998 ford contour that is filling the boot between the r/p and tie rod end. this model has a fluid tube the insets into a fitting on the boot. Is the boot supposed to fill with fluid? Cuz if so it's full and flowing out the boot end ( drivers side only). HELP.
the boot No 6 in the pic is basically a dust boot to protect the steering rack. if this boot is filling with oil there is a failed internal seal that is not normally serviced on the car, the rack will have to be removed to repair this problem.
