1998 Dodge Dakota V8 Two Wheel Drive Automatic 62,000 miles

What is the best way to change the PCV valve. The truck was given to me after my father's death, has low mileage, and the PCV valve has never been changed (10 years old).

remove the hose from it and twist and pull it on the way out.
