Transmission problem

When using cruise control going up a hill, it will not shift. Speed just continues to decrease until accelerator is pressed. Drives fine with cruise control on flat surfaces.

We have run into a coupe of caravans that had this sympton and found the flywheel to be cracked. The distortion is worse under load causing a contortion of the flywheel and throwing off the cam/ crank syncronization.

We are going to be traveling soon while pulling the pop up and was concerned if it would get worse.
