Drive Train Axles Bearings problem
1998 Chevy Venture 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 240000 miles

I need to replace my cv joints and axle i had already taken it out but i had started to van to charge the battery cause i was listening to music... when i did i noticed tranny oil leaking out of the trany from where i pulled the whole joint and drive shaft out of the tranny, so i put the whole thing back in the see if it would stop to make sure i didn't lose a seal, now i can't pull it back out of the transmission again anyone know how i can get it back out so i can put the new one in?

You can take a pry bar put it between the tranny and whats left of the CV Axle, and with a fast snap it should pop out. you may have do do it a few times.

Or you can purchase the special tool to remove it...

If you look at your new CV Axle on the end that goes into the tranny you will see a spring clip in a groove that is what hold the axle in.
