Engine Performance problem

I pulled up to work, truck running fine. hours later i try to start it and it just spins over. I sprayed starting fluid into the throttlebody and it started for a few seconds. I checked the fuel relay by turning the ignition off and on. It was engaging. I am guessing it can only be the injector or pump. Is that correct and how do i troubleshoot this?
