Engine Performance problem
1998 Chevy Tahoe V8 Four Wheel Drive Automatic 121000 miles

last year in April we had our idler arms and a pittman arm replaced by a non chevy dealer. When I left our gas gauge no longer worked. In July the tahoe began not starting, then not at all. a guy told us to knock on the gas tank with a hammer. if its starts after that it was the fuel pump. that worked so we replaced the fuel pump. the gas gauge still didn't work. now only a year later the truck is not starting again. it wont turn over. and the hammer doesn't work this time. and the check engine light came on a few weeks ago.
