1998 Buick Park Avenue Speedometer

Electrical problem
1998 Buick Park Avenue 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 150000 miles

The speedometer quit working and the needle has pegged around and is resting under the post. What is the possible problem?

Also the gas gauge has never worked since I purchased the car last year. I use the electronic gage to tell me how many miles I have left. What is the possible problem with this as well?

You need an instrument cluster.
