Engine Mechanical problem
1998 Audi A4 6 cyl All Wheel Drive Manual 219000 miles

When I leave my car running for about 10-15 min. The car turns off on its own and won't start again until the car cools down. The temp. gauge points to the middle at about 90 deg. Also, the cars exhaust fumes starts to increase just before it turns off. What may be causing this problem?
