1998 Acura TL Engine cranks but does not start

Engine Performance problem
1998 Acura TL 6 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 70000 miles

I have a 1998 Acura 2.5TL and am having problems with the engine starting. The car sometimes will crank and not start and at other times will start without a problem. In addition, while driving at times, the car may shut down all of a sudden, but then will restart after 15-20 minutes. These problems are intermittent and have been going on since I bought the car.

Hi henrico,

Looka like you have a problem with the main relay.

Thanks KHLow2008,

I was told it could be the fuel pump or probably a shut off switch located in the trunk that is malfunctioning. Will look into the main relay and see.
