1998 Acura EL transmission going out?

Transmission problem 1998 Acura EL 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 110000 miles ---------------------------------------------------------------- My car is making a clanking soung (like nails in a tin can) when I start it up. It also revs up very high before finally shifting into the last gear when accellerating past 60 mph. Could my transmission be going out? I also recently had the transmission fluid flushed during a routine oil change and was told that was a BAD thing to do.
