Engine Performance problem
1997 Toyota Rav4 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic

The Rav has been dying for almost 2 months now. Sometimes while your at a red light or a stop sign, the car's rpm would drop causing the rav to hesitate and die or sometimes just hesitate and then it catches itself again. (sucks really bad when i'm on a busy road and it dies, then i have to restart the engine(takes a few seconds to crank), feels like im driving a manual and stalling first gear.)

Have changed spark plugs, spark plug wires, flushed out all the water from the gas tank. Planning to change the distributor cap tomorrow. The car starts Perfectly fine, Perfect when rolling so i was guessing it might not be the fuel filter or any fuel problems or can it? It just hesitates and sometimes die when your about to accelerate from a red light or a stop sign.
