Engine Performance problem

Hi i have a 1997 4Runner the problem that i am having with it is that when i start it up after it sitting for awhile like 6+ hours or overnight it starts up pretty rough like it wants to die out. I have to give it a little gas to try to keep it from shutting off but after about 10-30 sec or so it settles out and runs fine this doesnt happen everyday but pretty regularly. Also, I'm not sure if this is in conjuction with the problem but, i have noticed a couple of times while driving uphill that it seems like when giving it some gas it seems as if it is kind of jerking forward as if it gets some gas then none. I'm thinking it may have something to do with either my fuel injectors or my fuel pump but not entirely sure. Any help would be appreciated. Thx.

Check the fuel pressure-if okay test the coolant temperature sensor/idle air control valve and throttle position and MAF sensor-
