Interior problem
1997 Saturn SL2 4 cyl Front Wheel Drive Automatic 125000 miles
my 1997 saturn sl2's drivers side electric window is stuck one inch from the top. motor seems to be working fine but window seems wedged or stuck. can you help me? a diagram would be great. thank you so much!!! |

the window does travel one inch or so . turns out the glass wasmore or less stuck due to the weatherstripping being entangled with the glass in the track. example a zipper caught in fabric-stuck. i removed window, straightened out weatherstripping when possible and removed torn up stripping. now window goes all the way up and down, but when gets to top doesnt stay in the track. any suggestions? did i miss some connection,ect. thank you for any advice you can give me |

U do realize that the weather strip is there to take take up the slack of the window so it fits tight like it should doesn't rattle etc or leak water and u removed some of it so u see the problem there?I would start with the weatherstripping also if the window regulator got bent from being all bound up from the weatherstripping then that would cause the off track nut let's start with that weatherstripping sounds like u need another one.
