Engine Mechanical problem 1997 Pontiac Bonneville 6 cyl Two Wheel Drive Automatic 170000 miles Got my car stuck in the mud. Supercharger was disconnected due to bearings locking up and shattering. Got my car out of the mud and it died when i got home. next day i get in the car and it starts right up but i hear this really loud knocking and it only gets worse when i press the throttle. the day after this happens i try to start up the car for a buddy to listen to and it doesnt even want to start. completely dead and wont take a jump. why does the car make the knocking noise and why did it just decide to die all of the sudden?
